Busy Week

This has been one busy week; I forgot to take pictures at everything though, so words will have to do.

Monday night: went to FHE. It was a combined stake activity/fireside thing with a speaker on communication and dating. I think they did it on purpose to coincide with Valentine's Day. It was actually really good and they guy was pretty funny. He talked a lot about eye contact, and that's mostly what I remember. He also said that when you have your hands in a position with the palms out, you seem more open (kind of like the opposite of having your arms folded I guess). I think he usually does communications seminars for businesses, so he really did know what he was talking about.

Tuesday night: my friend Lynette had a DDR night at her apartment. It was just me, her, and her friend Gwen. It was way fun! I definitely should have taken pictures at this one, but I will remember next time. We did DDR for a while, and then played MarioKart. There was also lots of food to cancel out the exercise we got from dancing.

Wednesday night: Institute night. I have a class that's supposed to be for single 25-30 year-olds but even though I'm only 24 I still go because it is sooo good. This semester the class is Teachings of the Living Prophets, and we talk about a different member of the 12 every week, along with his talk in the last Gen. Conf. This week was Elder Holland, who is definitely one of my favorites. He spoke at the MTC when I was there, and I don't remember anything he said, but I remember it was awesome.

Thursday night: Valentine's Day! I went to a chocolate party at my friend Julie's house. I ate way too much, but it was a lot of fun. We also watched Stardust - very good movie if you haven't seen it. I just read the book about a week ago, which is also very good.

Friday night: Singles Awareness Day party. The funny part is, I kind of had a date to that party. Oxymoron, I know. But it wasn't supposed to turn out that way. I invited a guy that I went on a blind date with a year and a half ago to come (not as a date, as a friend), and he took me out to dinner before the party. One of the guys there asked if we were married, because apparently we had that vibe or something. Probably because we were the oldest ones there. The party was fun though; we played games and ate food.

So there's a short synopsis of my week. I'm kind of exhausted now.
